We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Specialist to join our dynamic team is responsible for growing and managing high-quality, high-value FANUC products, and contributing significantly to converting strategies into success stories. Our European Supply Chain team is the centre of operational excellence dedicated to innovation, efficiency, and delivering top-notch service to our clients across EMEA region.
As a Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Specialist, you will be an innovative and enthusiastic participant in transforming and evolving our supply chain processes being accountable and responsible for enhancing operational speed and proposing solutions based on identified requirements. You will play a pivotal role in aligning our sales and operations strategies to ensure optimal order & production planning, scheduling, and customer satisfaction in close cooperations with local and central supply chain functions. You will leverage your experience with ERP systems and analytical tools to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
WHAT IS THE ROLE?
- Develop and implement S&OP processes to align sales forecasts & order with production and inventory plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, supply chain, operations, production, and finance, to ensure seamless communication and alignment
- Analyse the data using ERP systems and analytical tools to identify needs and trends and make informed recommendations. Take practical and strategic actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as reducing lead times, optimizing inventory levels, and enhancing forecast accuracy, to boost S&OP process efficiency and effectiveness
- Join and/or lead regular S&OP meetings to review performance, address issues, and adjust plans as needed
- Coordinate with internal stakeholder, suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness processes of S&OP and contribute to entire supply chain organisation
- Learn, develop and provide training & support to team members on S&OP best practices and tools
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in S&OP or related supply chain areas, particularly in order manage-ment, sales forecasting, production planning & scheduling, and distribution flow with Material Re-source Planning (MRP)
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP S4/Hana is a significant plus) and analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, Python, Access)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions. Capable of prioritizing, negotiating, and clarifying requirements to develop roadmaps
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multinational teams. Practical thinking, an initiative-taking attitude, and respectful interaction within the team are essential
- Experience in process management, change management, and change implementation
- Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and listening skills, with an open-minded and willingness-to-learn attitude
- Fluent in English; proficiency in any other language is considered an asset
