Your tasks will include:
- Providing technical support on FANUC CNC equipment including component specification, practical demonstrations of technology, training, and site programming to fulfil both customer and internal requirements
- Support all internal teams and MTB’s during pre and post sales, keeping them constantly updated on all the new FANUC products, features, and capabilities
- Support the sales team on the generation of control concepts and product configurations.
- Provide technical support for IoT products, including setup, configuration and troubleshooting,
- Professionally support products during shows and exhibitions (i.e. Open Houses, MACH) giving all the needed support during the preparation and execution of events.
- You will be report to the Technical Manager for overall performance, and at times will be required travel within the UK and abroad.
- Any other related duties as required by the Technical Manager
Your profile:
- Formal qualifications and experience in electrical engineering
- Experience working with servos and drives including the specifications of the system components.
- Knowledge of installation, commissioning, and programming of automation HMI/PLC
- High level language programming (e.g. C++, C#, Python, Java) experience
- Experience & technical understanding of automation
- Demonstrate knowledge of engineering principles, practices and methods, environmental regulations, workplace safety and employee/contractor supervision
- Good problem analysis, resolution and documentation skills
- Be honest, flexible and trustworthy with a high quality work ethic.
- Be punctual and respectful.
It would be desirable for said individual to have:
- G Code programming experience
You must be prepared to travel to Luxembourg and Germany for extensive training during your first 6–12 months.
You must also have the legal right to work in the UK and ideally be located within 60 minutes of our Coventry location, as this role requires an office presence.
