Facility Technician - Grounds & Building Maintenance (m/w/d)

Role

As a Facility Technician (m/w/d), you will be responsible for maintaining the functionality, appearance, and upkeep of our buildings, technical facilities, and outdoor areas. In addition to hands-on maintenance activities, you will support the coordination of facility-related services and work closely with internal stakeholders and external contractors. During the first three years, your primary workplace will be our site in Echternach. Following this period, you will support a gradual transition to our Contern location, where the position will be permanently based.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and care for landscaping and outdoor areas, including lawn mowing, hedge trimming, pruning, and planting activities
• Perform general building maintenance and minor repair work
• Carry out preventive maintenance activities on buildings and site infrastructure
• Support renovation, refurbishment, and continuous improvement projects
• Coordinate and monitor external contractors and service providers
• Maintain maintenance records and use relevant IT systems for documentation
• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-organized working environment across the site

 Profile

• Experience in building maintenance, landscaping, gardening, or a similar hands-on technical role
• Good practical skills in maintenance, repair, and general facility upkeep; electrical knowledge would be a strong advantage
• Comfortable using MS Office and digital systems for reporting, ticket management, and documentationIndependent, well-organized, and solution-oriented approach to work
• Reliable, flexible, and proactive team player with a hands-on mentality
• Good English language skills; spoken German or French would be a strong advantage
• Valid driver's license (Category B) and flexibility to occasionally support maintenance activities outside regular business hours
